Über den Bereich
Der Senior Engineer arbeitet als Mitglied der IT-Abteilung. Diese entwickelt Programme für das aufsichtsrechtliche Meldewesen, führt Stresstests durch und bereitet Berichte für den Vorstand vor. Der Mitarbeiter wird Teil des SAS – Teams in Frankfurt sein. Das Team in Frankfurt arbeitet eng mit einem Vendor-Team in Manila zusammen, welches ca. 20 Entwickler umfasst. Die Position hat verschiedene Schnittstellen zu anderen Technologien, hauptsächlich Oracle, Java, MicroStrategy und Unix. Darüber hinaus gibt es eine enge Zusammenarbeit mit den Bereichen Business – Group Finance and Risk – Operations sowie Production Support und anderen IT-Bereichen. Die Abteilung arbeitet gemäß eines agilen Arbeitsmodells.
Ihre Aufgaben
Einarbeitung in den existierenden Code und grundsätzliches Verständnis der inhaltlichen Zusammenhänge
Integration in das bestehende Team und Weiterentwicklung des Codes auf der bestehenden Plattform
Entwicklung und Verfeinerung der vom AlgoS Fachteam bereitgestellten funktionalen Anforderungen auf Basis der Vorgaben des Domain-Architektur-Teams
Herunterbrechen der technischen Spezifikationen in geeignete Implementierungspakete für Juniorentwickler
Dokumentation und kontinuierliches Testen von Neuentwicklungen
Bereitschaft zu kontinuierlicher Bereinigung und Verbesserung des Codes, insbesondere unter Performancegesichtspunkten
Ihre Fähigkeiten und Erfahrungen
Mehrjährige Berufserfahrung in der SAS-Programmierung mit Base & Macro (V9) und Kenntnisse in SAS/Connect to Oracle
Erfahrung in der Entwicklung von komplexen Themen und Code
Kenntnisse in generativer Programmierung und Python
Erfahrung mit Performanceproblemen bei großen Datenmengen auf einer komplexen Plattform
Ausgezeichnete analytische Fähigkeiten und Flexibilität bei der Problemlösung, sowie Aufgeschlossenheit und die Bereitschaft, Informationen und Wissen an Teammitglieder weiterzugeben
Erfahrung mit Testumgebungen und der Entwicklung von Testfällen

About the area of work
The Senior Engineer works as a member of the IT department which develops programs for the regulatory reporting, Stress Testing and reports for the Board. The Engineer will be a part of the SAS Team in Frankfurt. Beside the small team in Frankfurt, there is a close cooperation with a vendor team in Manila, Philippines which comprises approx. 20 developers. This position covers different roles with various interfaces to other technologies, mainly Oracle, Java, MicroStrategy and Unix. Furthermore, there is a close collaboration with Business – Group Finance and Risk – Operations and Production Support and other IT areas. Our department is following the agile working model.
Your tasks
Learning functional and technical context of the exiting code base
Integration into the existing team and technical and functional enhancement of the code based on the existing platform
Development and refinement of the functional requirements provided by AlgoS and collaboration with domain architecture team
Breaking down technical specifications into suitable implementation packages for junior developers
Documentation and continuous testing of new development
Participation in refinement and code clean up
Your knowledge and experiences
Several years of professional experience in SAS programming using Base & Macro (V9) and knowledge using SAS/Connect to Oracle
Experience in development of complex topics, code and mass data in very large tables
Knowledge generative programming and Python
Experience with performance issues related to big data on a huge platform
Excellent analytical skills, flexibility regarding problem solving, open minded, able to share information, transfer knowledge and expertise to team members
Experience with testing environments and the development of test cases
