About us
We, the chair for computational biology & bioinformatics at the TUM, seek an enthusiastic and highly motivated IT administrator to enrich our multinational team of scientists pursuing Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based solutions.
Requirements
You have a track record in problem-solving and comprehending complex realities from technical or scientific pub-lications. Advantageous is a bioinformatics-related background, but this is primarily an IT administrative role, and we welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
You will be able to work with scientists, students, and team members on diverse challenges, including system administration, website contribution, database maintenance and improvement, and program deployments. Fluency in English, Python, and shell scripts is as essential as familiarity with Linux and cluster management systems. Experiences with web languages (e.g., JavaScript, HTML, and CSS), scripting, and automation solutions are as desirable as knowledge of database systems.

As a successful candidate, you will implement and manage software and hardware solutions for cutting-edge re-search projects.

This is a full-time position initially limited to 2 years, and the salary will be commensurate with your qualifications according to as the current public services labour agreement (TV-L).
