You will play a crucial role in shaping the future of Data & Analytics and actively contribute to the success of the digital transformation at ZEISS. Within the Enterprise Data Management Team of our rapidly growing Data & Analytics organisation, you will help our business units to design, build, and maintain knowledge-based conversational systems. Your direct roles and responsibilities include:
Work in a team with data & knowledge engineers, software developers, architects and other product owners to create scalable, reusable and performant data-oriented applications, incl. e.g., document understanding, chatbots, recommender, enterprise search, leveraging state-of-the-art technologies incl., e.g., Large Language Models and knowledge graphs
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and identify opportunities for data-driven solutions
Jointly with our business partners, develop and maintain products, define and prioritize product features in line with business goals and customer needs
Help the development team to prioritize and develop a solution and solve all surfacing problems considering time & budget
Be hands-on and work closely with the team to implement solutions
Continuously improve quality and performance while owning products from idea to operations
Drive innovative solutions for data and knowledge management, evaluate the latest tools and technologies, shape our roadmaps & architectural decisions
Provide guidance and support as subject matter expert on enterprise search, conversational AI, and natural language processing, Large Language Models & generative AI solutions
An excellent university degree (MSc/PhD) in information technology, computer science, natural sciences, or similar training
At least 3 years of working experience in applying conversational AI, natural language processing, information retrieval / enterprise search in a business-relevant context, in production environments
Passionate individual with strong communication and visualization skills to convince stakeholders of your ideas and align with them on complex technical decisions
Experience with project & product management in an agile team setup (e.g., scrum) for development and deployment of data-driven solutions
Expert understanding of Conversational AI, Enterprise Search, Natural Language Processing & Machine Learning and experience with the relevant technologies, incl. Conversational AI platforms (RASA, PVA, etc), Large Language Models / GPT
Experience with semantic technologies (e.g., knowledge graphs) is a plus
Excellent programming skills in Python, including mastering the standard libraries for NLP, machine learning, data science and object-oriented design; knowledge of other programming languages is a plus
Experience with database/storage systems, query languages & scalable data processing (SQL, No-SQL, Spark, etc)
Experienced with cloud technologies like Microsoft Azure (e.g., Synapse, Databricks, Azure DevOps) – Big Data (e.g., Spark) – CI/CD using e.g., git, docker
