Job Beschreibung: Your mission
We’re looking for a VP of Logistics and Operations to join our team. This is a critical role in overseeing and optimizing the supply chain, logistics, and operations functions within an organization. This role involves strategic planning, leadership, and hands-on operational expertise to drive continuous improvement and achieve operational excellence.
Develop and execute the logistics and operations strategy aligned with the company’s overall business goals and objectives.
Drive initiatives to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer service.
Oversee the end-to-end supply chain, including procurement, inventory management and production planning.
Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and materials.
Manage transportation, warehousing, and distribution functions to optimize the flow of goods and minimize lead times.
Implement best practices in route optimization, carrier selection, and inventory management.
Build and lead a high-performing logistics and operations team..
Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure reliability and quality of goods and services.
Develop and manage the logistics and operations budget, ensuring cost control and resource optimization.
Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain and operations.
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Your profile
Proven experience in logistics, supply chain management, and operations, with at least 8 years in a leadership role in a related industry (mineral oil/gas industry)
Experience of managing dangerous goods
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
Knowledge of industry-specific software and tools.
