Job Beschreibung: We are looking for an Engineering manager (Python) – Food science domain (All genders) to help us deliver an amazing experience in 55+ countries and 25 languages. We are a global Tribe of Data Scientists, Software Engineers, Data Engineers, and Product Managers whose focus is onthe problems that span across all our brands and scale globally.
The Food Science domain delivers a global food knowledge that powers our ability to understand our customers’ tastes and identify similarities between dishes, restaurants, and cuisines. With the advances of Generative AI we are expanding our products into menu completion and data augmentation for the vendors, both text and image. For that purpose we are building a new team that will utilize the newest AI technologies and deliver domain-specific solutions to our partners and customers.
You will lead a team that will design, develop, and deploy complex integrations between various cloud services and APIs to support these projects. As an Engineering Manager, you will work closely with your product counterpart and data science teams to build and maintain scalable and reliable ML models that power our Generative AI products.
Your mission:
Build from the ground up and lead a new software engineering team to develop and maintain prediction services around generative AI.
Create a culture of delivery and innovation.
Collaborate closely with other data teams focused on data science, and make sure integrations with different internal teams are conducted successfully.
Mentor and grow engineers based on our engineering career framework.
Contribute and make an impact in a global, fast-moving tech organization.
Your heroic skills:
You have an engineering background (SWE preferably but we will consider Data and ML).
You have built or led a small or an early stage team.
Fluency in Python and API design.
Experience developing, debugging and running services in the cloud (GCP or AWS).
Ability to design architecture that works at our scale, in terms of performance and complexity.
Empathetic candid leader that leads by example and mentors/coaches engineers.
Great communication skills and ability to influence beyond the team.
