Welcome to gestigon – a Valeo brand. As part of Valeo’s Comfort & Driving Assistance Systems Business Group, gestigon specializes in software development, machine learning and artificial intelligence solutions. It offers sensor-agnostic disruptive software for our Interior Cocoon solutions, in particular gesture recognition and behavior tracking. The office and lab of gestigon are located in Lübeck, Germany.
Overall Mission
Together with your team you develop solutions ranging from comfort/entertainment to safety-critical in an automotive environment by using cutting-edge algorithms.
You are responsible for designing ML software components within a product. You have a very good foundation and detailed knowledge about machine learning algorithms, both traditional and modern. At a project level, you are the interface between the function owner, data acquisition, embedded and the validation teams. You are expected to deliver technical solutions fulfilling project requirements, perform associated tests and validation and provide documentation.
These challenges await you as Machine Learning Engineer:
Design and train Machine Learning models based on project requirements and within relevant frameworks
Deliver algorithms, tooling, scripts etc. to build model from associated dataset
Ensure the robustness of the model by defining the appropriate KPIs
Take into account the project constraints such as limited data or limited computational power and design the models accordingly (together with the ML Embedded Engineer / Architect)
Manage the experiments and datasets such that they are reproducible and repeatable
Regular technical watch on the recent Machine Learning community research outcomes and trends
Take part in component integration and tests for the final product
You inspire us with that:
M.Sc. in Computer Science or related with focus in Machine Learning
Professional experience in working with a team of engineers on a Machine learning product
Good Python programming skills (C/C++ is a plus)
Knowledge about code versioning tools (Git/SVN), code quality, documentation, testing
Practical experience with Machine Learning frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch
Detailed understanding of Machine Learning concepts, including modern deep neural networks
Proven structured approach to managing experiments and datasets
Excellent written and spoken English skills
